General Manager at RAINBOW TOURISM GROUP – Harare

Rainbow Tourism Group Limited is seeking a dynamic, commercially driven and visionary leader to take overall responsibility for Heritage Expeditions Africa (HEXA) and drive its growth across local, regional and international tourism markets.

The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for HEXA. Primary accountability includes business growth, revenue and profitability, product development, operational excellence, strategic partnerships, and ensuring exceptional guest experiences. Key responsibilities involve driving revenue growth, achieving business targets, developing and executing HEXA’s business, sales, and marketing strategies, and expanding the business across local, regional, and international markets. The role also requires developing innovative tourism products, experiences, and competitive packages, building strategic partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and maintaining strong financial, operational, asset, and risk-management controls. The General Manager will lead and develop a high-performing, commercially focused team, champion innovation, service excellence, and world-class guest experiences, and maintain a regular presence across HEXA destinations and operations.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management or related field.
- MBA will be an added advantage.
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in Tour & Travel Operations and Hospitality Services at Senior Management level.
- Strong commercial, business development and operational leadership capability.
- Excellent negotiation, communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Demonstrable innovation, creativity and thought leadership.
- High levels of integrity, resilience and results orientation.
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively (approximately 70%).
