Assistive Teaching and Learning Technologies Specialist at Great Zimbabwe University- GZU – Masvingo

This role involves evaluating individual needs and capabilities to identify the most suitable assistive technology solutions. The specialist will be responsible for creating individualized plans for the use of assistive technology to support students' learning objectives and providing training to users, caregivers, and educators on the effective use of these devices. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals, educators, and service providers is crucial to ensure the needs of individuals with disabilities are met. Additionally, the role includes advocating for the rights and needs of individuals with disabilities regarding the use of assistive technology, creating an inclusive educational environment where every student can access and benefit from available resources, and demonstrating commitment and expertise in technology integration.

- A Degree in Education, Special Education, Educational Technologies or Speech Language Pathology or other relevant degree.
- At least two (2) years relevant proven working experience in the same field.
- Further training in special needs is an added advantage.
