CHITUNGWIZA MUNICIPALITY
DEPARTMENT: URBAN PLANNING
Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced personnel to fill the below-mentioned vacant positions, which have fallen vacant in the Urban Planning Department.
Reports To: GIS Officer
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collecting data using GPS devices, aerial photography, and other tools to create maps or other graphic representations of data
- Using Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technology to store, analyse, and manage data that has been gathered from field surveys or other sources
- Creating maps and other graphics using Geographic Information System (GIS) software to display data in visual formats for a variety of purposes, such as communicating environmental hazards or land use planning
- Designing custom maps and other graphics for presentations, publications, reports, and other purposes
- Advising managers on the best use of GIS technology to support organization goals
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining computers and software used for GIS applications
- Researching new GIS technology to determine its potential utility for specific applications within an organization

Requirements & Qualifications
- Higher National Diploma in Geographic Information Systems.
- 3 years of experience working with GIS
- Must be 25 years old and above
