Part Time Teaching Posts - Environmental and Development Economics at Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) – Masvingo

Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) is seeking two Part Time Teaching Posts in Environmental and Development Economics. Successful applicants will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses, developing and reviewing modules, and administering coursework and examinations. The role also involves supervising student projects, conducting research, publishing peer-reviewed papers, and participating in community outreach activities. Candidates will be encouraged to develop innovative teaching methods, convert research outputs into innovations, and contribute to income-generating projects within the Department/School, as well as participate in various university committees and perform other assigned duties.

- Hold a Doctoral degree in Economics or equivalent.
- Alternatively, hold a Master of Science degree in Economics or equivalent with a strong background in Mathematics, and a first degree with at least an upper second (2.1) degree classification.
- Applicants showing progress towards acquiring a relevant Doctoral degree will be considered.
- Professional experience in industry.
- Teaching experience at tertiary or university level.
- Holders of the Postgraduate Diploma in Higher and Tertiary Education are preferred.
- Ability to supervise students (Masters, Dissertation research).
- Ability to teach at least three of the following modules at undergraduate and postgraduate level: Advanced Environmental Economics, Environmental Change and Development, Natural Resources and Economic Development.
