Draughtsman at CROCO HOLDINGS – Harare

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Draughtsman. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing accurate technical drawings, engineering designs and 3D models for mining operations, brick manufacturing plants, structural steelworks, industrial machinery and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed technical drawings for mining equipment, brick manufacturing machinery, structural steelworks and industrial infrastructure.
- Develop 2D and 3D designs for plant layouts, machinery installations, conveyors, kilns, crushers and material handling systems.
- Produce fabrication, assembly and mechanical engineering drawings for equipment manufacturing, repairs and modifications.
- Interpret engineering specifications, sketches and site measurements into accurate technical drawings.
- Support plant expansion, equipment installation, maintenance and engineering improvement projects.
- Conduct site inspections and measurements to ensure drawing accuracy and practicality.
- Ensure drawings comply with engineering standards, safety regulations and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with engineers, maintenance teams, production personnel and project contractors.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, drawing registers and revision records.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Draughting, Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years' relevant draughting experience, preferably within mining, brick manufacturing, heavy engineering or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor or equivalent CAD software.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical equipment, structural steel fabrication, plant layouts and industrial machinery.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications and fabrication requirements.
