SHEQ Officer at Sterling Group of Hotels – HARARE

Sterling Group of Hotels is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced SHEQ Officer to support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Group's Safety, Health, Environment and Quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
-Implement and monitor SHEQ policies, procedures and standards across assigned properties and operations.
-Conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and safety audits.
-Identify hazards and recommend appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
-Investigate incidents, accidents and near misses and prepare reports.
-Monitor compliance with statutory health, safety and environmental requirements.
-Coordinate safety training, toolbox talks and employee awareness programmes.
-Maintain SHEQ records, registers and compliance documentation.
-Monitor food safety, hygiene and environmental standards where applicable.
-Follow up on corrective actions and prepare regular SHEQ reports for management.
-Support emergency preparedness and response activities.

- Diploma/Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health, SHEQ or a related field.
- Relevant SHEQ/OSH certification will be an added advantage.
- At least 3 years' relevant experience, preferably within hospitality, catering, manufacturing or a similar environment.
- Knowledge of workplace safety legislation and relevant standards.
- Strong inspection, reporting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work across multiple operational sites.
