Job Description

Gain is the Private Markets Super App, a connected global platform transforming how leading investors, advisors, and corporates source, evaluate, and execute deals. By combining investment-grade intelligence, AI-powered workflows, and proprietary data in one unified platform, Gain enables top deal teams to move faster, reduce risk, and build conviction with confidence. Gain is trusted across more than $1 trillion of private capital, used by 100% of MBB and Big Four firms, and by 80% of the world’s top 20 M&A advisory houses. The company is recognized for fast innovation and impact, named US and EU Data Provider of the Year by PE Wire, awarded Global Financial Market Review’s Best Use of AI in Finance, and ranked in Sifted’s Top 100 Fastest-Growing Companies, the Forbes 1000, and the Deloitte Technology Fast 50. Gain operates globally with offices in New York, London, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Warsaw, and Bangalore.

This role involves expanding the Intelligence Origination team into Credit, focusing on sourcing proprietary, transaction-level credit intelligence across live and announced private equity-related transactions. The model is data-first, capturing structured intelligence rather than producing news stories. You will play a pivotal role in expanding real-time credit intelligence coverage, with a focus on completeness, accuracy, and speed of data capture.

Your mission is to cultivate a trusted network of off-record sources, including lenders, investment bankers, private equity sponsors, advisors, consultants, and lawyers, to uncover proprietary market intelligence. The insights gathered will be transformed into clean, machine-readable data that powers the platform and forms the backbone of clients' origination and transaction analysis workflows. You'll speak with market participants on a background-only basis, surfacing intelligence that rarely enters the public domain. Working closely with analysts and research teams, you'll help convert raw market insight into structured, scalable data that fuels client workflows and supports better investment decisions.

Key Responsibilities:
In your role, you will:
Build and maintain a network of sources including lenders, investment bankers, sponsors, advisors, and lawyers.
Conduct daily off-record, high-trust conversations to surface non-public credit intelligence.
Ensure high-quality sourcing of proprietary datapoints that feed directly into the Gain platform.
Collaborate closely with in-house analysts and research teams to ensure data completeness, consistency, and structured format.
Support the expansion of the real-time transaction tracker and contribute to internal market intelligence sharing.

What we offer:
Competitive base salary and annual.
