Job Description
At IMC, technology is central to all operations, driving millions of trading decisions daily through innovative in-house software. The Amsterdam-based Global VMM Data team is developing a centralized global data platform to deliver high-quality curated data for Valuation Market Making (VMM) research and strategies across IMC. This young project aims to ingest, curate, and expose data to research tooling.
As a Trading Data Software Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include enabling high-quality research by providing fundamental option pricing data. You will centralize data curation to enhance researchers' focus and facilitate the rapid onboarding of new data sets, supporting future strategies. This involves building tooling for data curators and exposing data to research platforms for global access.
You will write reliable, high-performance software, balancing production timelines with quality and testability through advanced automated testing and daily deployments. The complex environment of IMC's systems will challenge you to consider trade-offs in latency, throughput, simplicity, scalability, and maintainability. Your core tasks will include coding, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining applications and automations for data curators, VMM developers, and traders/researchers, while understanding their needs. You will be involved in the architectural design of this new system, focusing on building a highly-performant system capable of serving petabytes of data globally.
IMC fosters an environment where engineers have the freedom to select the best technological solutions, actively investing in exploring, adopting, and developing new technologies that add value. This role is open to international and African applicants, with eligibility for visa sponsorship or remote work to be confirmed.
