Sustainability Solutions Consultant (French & German Speaking) at Watershed – London, UK OR Berlin, Germany

Watershed is an enterprise sustainability platform used by major companies like Airbnb, Carlyle Group, FedEx, Visa, and Dr. Martens to manage climate and ESG data, produce audit-ready metrics for voluntary and regulatory reporting (including CSRD), and drive real decarbonization. The company has offices in San Francisco, New York, Denver, London, Paris, Berlin, Sydney, Mexico City, and remote team members across the US and Europe.

Watershed is seeking early members to join its Sustainability Solutions team. In this role, you will help Europe's largest companies achieve decarbonization goals and navigate complex investor, customer, and regulatory landscapes. You will engage deeply with prospective customers on their functional and technical needs, collaborating with sales, product, and climate science teams. This role requires a knack for quickly learning and distilling complex topics, whether you're a carbon accounting expert or new to the climate sector.

Key responsibilities include:
- Partnering closely with 3-4 Account Executives to analyze and understand customers’ businesses, climate ambitions, and software needs.
- Becoming a trusted advisor to prospective customers, educating them about corporate climate commitments, carbon accounting, regulation/policy, and the Watershed offering.
- Building and sharing subject matter expertise on how large companies can run successful climate programs.
- Demonstrating Watershed’s unique value through product demonstrations, ROI analysis, and customer stories.
- Creatively applying the Agentic AI capabilities of the Watershed platform to address innovative use cases.
- Scoping complex customer engagements as Watershed expands to new industries.
- Interfacing with Customer Success and Sustainability Advisory teams to ensure smooth handovers.
- Collaborating with Watershed’s Engineering, Product, and Marketing teams to continuously improve products and positioning.

This role requires willingness to work from an office 4 days per week in London or Berlin, with up to 25% travel.

- Fluency in French and German.
- Worked in a Solutions Consulting or Sales Engineering role for an Enterprise SaaS company.
- Partnered with Account Executives to scope successful engagements with mid-sized to large companies.
- Ability to master new concepts and technologies quickly.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, engaging deeply with both technical and business executive audiences.
- Gets energy from working across multiple projects concurrently and wearing many hats.
- Passionate about decarbonizing diverse industries, from aviation to manufacturing to cloud computing.
- Excited to join a startup and ready to take responsibility defining a new standard for climate and Sustainability AI programs.
- A background in corporate climate programs or carbon accounting (nice to have).
- Policy experience, especially in climate/sustainability/corporate reporting (nice to have).
