Project Evaluation Consultant (Type B) at International Organization for Migration – Port Vila, Vanuatu

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Evaluation Consultant (Type B) for a project in Port Vila, Vanuatu. The objective of this role is to contribute to the protection and resilience of people at risk of displacement in Vanuatu by supporting the Government of Vanuatu to strengthen disaster preparedness and evacuation procedures.

Since 2015, over 30 percent of Ni-Vanuatu citizens have experienced temporary or protracted displacement due to disasters. Vanuatu faces threats from cyclones, tsunamis, volcanic eruptions, earthquakes, and other natural hazards. In response, IOM is implementing the Sef Ples Blong Yumi Phase 2 project, funded by the Government of Australia’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), to support the Vanuatu National Disaster Management Office (NDMO).

The project focuses on strengthening the Displacement and Evacuation Centre Management (DECM) Cluster’s coordination capacity, updating and rolling out the National Evacuation Centre Management Guidelines (NECMG) and Evacuation Toolbox / Training Materials, improving information management systems, and supporting preparedness at national, provincial, and Area Council levels. The consultant will be responsible for conducting the final evaluation of this project.
