Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor (5 Posts Full-time) at Midlands State University – Gweru

The incumbent is expected to teach or deliver lectures in accordance to Department and Faculty guidelines and standards. They should participate in all Department, Faculty and University activities such as attending meetings, training workshops, conferences and seminars. The role also involves engaging in active research in their area of specialization which benefits both the students and the University, leading to tangible products and services through innovations, and industrialization through commercialization of products. Specifically, suitable candidates must be able to teach any three of the following modules: Introduction to Security Management, Physical Security, Arms Handling and Control, Introduction to Private Security, Crime Prevention, Reduction and Control, Cash in Transit Management, Critical Incidence Response, Criminal Psychology, Safety and Fire Management, Forensic Investigation, and Security Audit Systems.

- First degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Policing, Security or any other related field with at least a 2.1 pass.
- Masters Degree in Risk Management, Insurance, Policing, Security or any other related field.
- PhD in the fields above (added advantage).
- Teaching experience at tertiary level (desirable).
- Practical industry experience (desirable).
- Membership to a relevant trade or professional body (desirable).
- Candidates who hold international qualifications may be required to provide a ZIMCHE qualifications assessment report.
